Meeting Notes 4/26/2017
Ben sat in the big chair with the gavel as he practiced for July. Chris is in Uganda working on the water project and forming more connections.
Teen Night Sponsorship
We will be helping at Teen Night this Friday 4/28 starting at 7:30pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church 420 W Downer Place Aurora. We will be serving dinner to the teens and presenting a check to Teen Night that will help them upgrade their busses.
Chloe moved to her 3rd family last week and things are going really well. She will be going to St Louis this week with her Robotics Club as they compete in the National Competition. Chloe wasted her time and went to a White Sox game with her host family, of course they lost. Chloe went to Chicago last week and voted in her first French Presidential Election. This was a primary that brought the number to 2 candidates. She will again go and vote next week in the final election.
Cynthia Wade from Do-Over.Me was our guest speaker. She runs this not-for profit that helps those in career transition to prepare for their next job. They have been in business for 3 years and they have helped over 45 clients in 2016 and hoping they can be of more help in 2017.
New Member Application is in for Frank Johnson of the Fox Valley Park District. Frank is a life long Auroran with strong ties to the community. If you would like any more information please reach out to Tom Clark.
Joe was happy about Delani's basketball teams great showing in Indianapolis. Another well spent dollar was paid for the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs being in first place, as they should be.
Charlie had a great time showing friends around downtown Chicago. And the trip would not be complete without a stop at Wrigley Field home of the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs.
Ben was the lucky ticket and end of month auto $10 winner. He missed getting the King of Clubs and the pot rolls over.
