Britta McKenna from IN2 at Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy
The founder of You Tube and former IMSA student, Steve Chen, gave IMSA a $1 million grant to build a state of the art innovation center. The center is designed to ignite collaboration and entrepreneurial activity among students, educators, business and the community to solve real world problems, design prototypes and launch new ideas to advance the human condition.
6,400 square feet of physical space is being renovated IN2 a cross-generational STEM community hub. IN@ focuses on four areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and innovation: entrepreneurship education, teaching and learning, maker movement and diversity.
