Youth Exchange Important Dates

  • ?September 24th-Club Interviews at Waubonsee Community College
  • ?October 4th-District Interviews in Hinsdale

Please make sure we are directing potential candidates to the website, yes Brian the website, and have them fill out Pre-Application and email it to Joel for an invite to club interviews.

 

Laura and Lorenz went to Michigan last weekend for RYE training. They had a lot of fun on the lake paddle boarding, water skiing and riding around in a boat.

 

Program Updates

September 17th Megan Hicks from Australia will be visiting our club. Megan was an inbound exchange student back in the late 1990’s.

September 24th we will not have a meeting due to club interviews that evening

 

Membership Update

Some wheel stickers were posted to the board for invitations made to our meeting. Tom Clark was the big winner as his guest was Dr. Charles Hiscock, Principal at West Aurora High School. His application will be coming in soon.

 

Meet the Membership Monkey. He will be on our backs until we bring a guest and the first to be back packing the monkey will be Brian Olsen.

 

Today’s Program

Richard A. Gartelmann, Jr.-Classification Talk

Rich is a Senior Investment Advisor with Old Second Bank in Aurora. He is a graduate of Governor’s State University and holds an MBA from St Xavier University in Chicago in Financial Planning.

Rich and Kathleen have been married for 9 years and they have 5 children Jessica, Brittany, Gary, and twins Alec and Nick.

During Rich’s leisure time he plays golf and enjoys taking in the Chicago professional teams games, even the White Sox.

50/50 Raffle

The pot is now over $175 and the winning ticket holder was Laura Romero. Unfortunately for her and good for the rest of us she did not pull the joker.

Joe & Shelli are celebrating their 20th Anniversary today

Jack is proud of the Aurora Police Department and their efforts in arresting the armed robbery suspects last week around 10 minutes after the attempt.
