Youth Exchange News

Next year District 6450 will be sending out 16 students to other countries. Of the 16, 10 will be from East and West Aurora High Schools. Click on the Youth Exchange tab to see a sponsorship request from one of those students to another Rotary Club. This is why the program is so important to our club. What amazing kids there are in Aurora.

President Dan had the opportunity to spend some quality time with his granddaughter and grandson this past weekend.

Hal Carlson decided to not take the elevator up the Willis (Sears) Tower last weekend. He went up the stairs with 2600 of his crazy friends and he finished 18th in a time of 16 minutes and 43 seconds. Fantastic! Thankfully he took the elevator down, we know how good he is going down mountains and stuff.

Dr. Dave announced that his daughter Kristin has been hired to make violins. Will she make the world’s smallest violin? Congrats

One of the hardest things we do as a club comes out of the most rewarding. Year after year saying goodbye to our inbound students is never easy. Thank you Victoria for sharing your experiences this year with us.
