Hal participated in Hurricane Irene and the Fire Fighter & Police Games last week. He finished with 5th place track, silver medals in rowing, track, stair climbing. Aurora won gold in dodgeball and 3 on 3 basketball.

Charlie reported that he, Guy Groot and Tom Clark participated in the annual CASA golf outing. He did not say what place they finished in, or how many golf balls they lost. He did say they had a great time.

Ron told us his daughter, son in-law and 5 kids arrived safe to their new home in Bahrain Saudi Arabia after much adventure and a 22 hour flight.

President Dan reported that his daughter who is 8 months pregnant is doing well after emergency apendectimy surgery. The baby is having fun kicking the sutures. OWWW!

Dave Siegfried went to meeting this week and received a $1500 check from The City of Aurora for our beer pouring efforts during the festivals. The check would have been for $2000 but they also kept track of how much beer our club consumed.

October 9th there will be a kayaking event to raise funds for Shelter Box. The details will be released next week, so save the date.
